One of the biggest shifts in my wardrobe since having the girls has been that my hem lines get longer and longer.  I still love a little mini dress, but they aren’t really practical when I’m constantly bending over to pick up the car seat or grab a dropped toy off the floor.   A midi or maxi dress is a much better option for me, especially with the Texas temperatures rising and my babies getting busier. Since stripes, blue and white, linen, flowy dresses are a few of my favorite things in life, this linen maxi dress was a must for me.   The basics of this dress hits all the high notes, but the details add even more.  I love the decorative buttons down the front, the left side pocket, and the frilled detail around the waist.  I would call this piece an elevated basic.  It’s easy to reach for day after day, but the fun details make it more special.

  1. Oh my gosh yes, I am right with you. Short dresses just don’t work well right now though they are fun for a date night (when those happen). Love this fun dress. It’s so unique which makes it feel special.
